Male vs Female stereotype

'Fame Monsters' West and Gaga. 

In this image, Kanye West and Lady Gaga clearly represent the stereotypical male/female gender roles. Kanye is the strong muscular male lifting her petit female frame with ease. He is dressed in torn and worn out clothes and has animal eye contact lenses on which makes his glare beady and wild. Gaga remains naked and vulnerable with her bright flawless skin in deep contrast to the dark and deep tones of the rest of the picture.The erupting volcano in the background represents violence and destruction but Kanye is there so save or protect Gaga. Lachapelle maybe trying to replicate an image that we associate with the the film 'King Kong', which he could be playing on the stereotypical impression of the strong male with animal like tendencies.
